Project Cybele, an ever-evolving Python-based chatbot, reached its stable beta release in August 2024. Conceived as a digital attic of knowledge and a handy cheat sheet for various themes, Cybele was built with the fundamental tools of Notepad++ and the console. Its development relied on pure mental debugging, foregoing modern IDEs and embracing "the old ways."
Built upon core components of the Zorie framework and serving as a cornerstone of the Elysia extension, Cybele employs diverse programming techniques and two distinct chatbot algorithms. Previously hosted on trinket.io for seamless aesthetic integration with the Elysia website, the project's clean, foundational source code is readily available for download, ensuring broad and continued accessibility. While other AI platforms exist for chatbot creation, Cybele offers a unique, curated experience.
Sporting a retro-inspired design reminiscent of classic consoles and terminals, Cybele functions as a comprehensive knowledge repository. It delivers insights across a wide spectrum of domains, from practical life advice aligned with the "Make a Difference Daily" ethos to in-depth celestial exploration, including planetary dynamics, an astronomical glossary, lunar phases, and stellar constellations. Meticulously curated geographical, environmental, and technological data, alongside historical artifacts and terminology, are also readily available. To enhance computational precision, Cybele incorporates a simple Lens and AI image protection capability, the Haversine formula for distance calculations, and sophisticated algorithms for determining sunrise, sunset, and seasonal variations.
Further expanding its capabilities, Cybele features a fundamental periodic table with essential element information. Engaging interactive games focused on capitals, constellations, and periodic table elements are integrated to reinforce learning and enhance user engagement. Notably, Cybele is designed to work in online or offline mode and has the potential to run on Windows, Linux, Android, or iOS devices via a Python 3+ interpreter.

⚝ CYBELE uses SQLite Cloud for its database operations, ensuring a seamless experience whether you're online or offline. While connected, it leverages a cloud-based database, providing data synchronization and access from anywhere. When offline, the script automatically switches to a local SQLite database file on your machine, allowing it to continue working without interruption. This dual-mode functionality guarantees reliable performance and data integrity at all times.

How to Run Cybele
To get Cybele up and running on your system, follow these simple steps:
Prerequisites
You'll need a Python interpreter installed on your computer. Cybele is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and android (via pydroid3 APK or termux).
Installation
Download the Code: Get the Cybele script from its GitHub repository clicking in the 'source code' yellow button below or the github icon. You can either clone the repository using Git or download the ZIP file and extract it.
Open Your Terminal or Command Prompt: In your bash / cmd / terminal console navigate to the directory where you saved the cybele.py file.
Run the Script: Type the following command and press Enter:
python cybele.py or py cybele.py
Verify cybele
To verify if you running a genuine copy on your computer simple type #version on Cybele or you can compare the unique id presented by with the code bellow.
That's it! Cybele should now be running and ready to "speak" and give'you "all the info's" about'it.
