I didn't just witness the digital age unfold; I helped lay the wires and write the code that made it real. The world you live in now is built on the networks I once navigated alone.
The time I like to waist is not wasted time, never was and never gonna be , passion never dies.
I'm crazy, weirdo and ugly too ... ttxiiii, i'm f* ! Well, happens 😂 still i am very happy. Oldie but goldie.

About
In the 1980s and 90s, MS-DOS reigned supreme, and Clipper and dBASE were the go-to languages for database programming. While dBASE was interpreted, making it slower, Clipper compiled code, resulting in significantly faster execution. This, coupled with its ability to create standalone applications, made Clipper a popular choice for commercial software development.
During this era, I also developed several applications, including GTVideo for video store management and GestPos for point-of-sale terminals. These programs, written in Clipper and utilizing dBASE databases, tracked inventory, rentals, customer information, sales, and more. GTVideo, in particular, found success in numerous video stores throughout my city and surrounding areas, streamlining their business operations.
Although modern languages like Python and Java have since taken center stage, my Clipper applications, GTVideo and GestPos, continue to function seamlessly within emulators like DOSBox-X or in VM's. This enduring functionality serves as a powerful reminder of the longevity and robustness of well-crafted code. It's a testament and a reminder of many and varied things included (while the interface may seem dated compared to modern visuals, these programs remain robust and efficient tools for accomplishing a wide range of tasks) not only for me.
From the cosmic waves of Zenn-La to the brutal jungles of Yautja Prime, my heart belongs to three of science fiction's most iconic characters: the Silver Surfer, Godzilla and the Predator. For as long as I can remember, I've been captivated by their stories, even now in the present day.
The Silver Surfer, a noble Herald of Galactus, sacrifices his freedom to save his home world. His tales are an exploration of morality, sacrifice, and the search for purpose in an indifferent universe. His cosmic travels and internal struggles have always resonated with me. And yes, I still read his comics.
Then there's the Predator, the ultimate hunter. I've always been fascinated by their code of honor, their advanced technology, and their relentless pursuit of the worthy hunt. It’s a compelling look at what it means to be the apex predator, and the thrill of the hunt. I've always felt a special connection to the Predator; we both share that 'ugly but dangerous' aesthetic. Besides, I've always said I have a face only a mother could love, too." And yes, I read her comics to.
And of course, there's the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. It’s a character that's part of me, and I think everyone knows it. I’ve always been drawn to the sheer, unstoppable force of nature that Godzilla represents. Its story is a powerful reminder of both humanity’s destructive power and our resilience. The thrill of watching Godzilla emerge from the depths to battle other colossal creatures is something that has never gotten old for me. And without any questionable doubt, of course I read the comics.
These three characters, in their own unique ways, represent the enduring power of myth and storytelling in popular culture. I am proud to and to always be a lifelong fan.
Cybelle, a long-standing Python-based chatbot, was always conceived as a digital repository of knowledge or a sort of attic for quick reference on various topics. It was created exclusively using Notepad++ and the console, abandoning modern IDEs in favor of pure mental debugging. This adherence to the "old ways" not only honed and improved my development skills but also served as a dynamic way to keep me actively engaged in programming (My code's older than some of my colleagues, but it still compiles!). Cybelle truly embodies and symbolizes the commitment to and continued joy of building from scratch. Proof that 'legacy code' can still be productive... and hilarious.
Hiking in nature is not only good for our bodies, it’s good for our moods, our minds, and our relationships, too.
I’m a hiker—“born to hike,” as my friend likes to joke. It does my heart and soul good to strap on a pack and head out on a trail, especially when I’m alone and can let my mind wander where it will.
The experience of hiking is unique, conveying benefits beyond what you receive from typical exercise. Not only does it oxygenate your heart, it helps keep your mind sharper, your body calmer, your creativity more alive, and your relationships happier. And, if you’re like me and happen to live in a place where nearby woods allow for hiking among trees, all the better: Evidence suggests that being around trees may provide extra benefits, perhaps because of certain organic compounds that trees exude that boost our mood and our overall psychological well-being. hiking involves something many other forms of exercise don’t: trails. That means it requires navigating in a world that’s not totally predictable. Slippery dirt, overhanging branches and hidden obstacles, trail markers, and wild animals crossing your path—all of the things you might encounter on a trail require micro- and macro-adjustments to your route, which is good for your brain, mine still is good to say I’m a hiker, maybe if you are one to we cross someday. Perhaps, maybe, who knows.. happens but everyone knows that nature is good for health and happiness. Getting outside is magical.
Skydiving / Paragliding 🪂
Bedore my 50's ?! "Jump from planes!" some ask me: "Why?" Yet words convey such weak reply. Amongst the clouds in the big blue sky, the only place true answers lie.
I was one of those people. The dream of flight was an innate part of his being, and he became the first person to make a freefall jump in my entire family generation in 1990. The history of skydiving much began like a dream with paper drawings on the pages of school notebooks and like dreams when i was in high-school. But that is another story and by the way Thank You Köhler and others.

the Adelino Murtaugh List 📝
Welcome to the Adelino Murtaugh List. For years, I did things I'm now officially too old for—from chasing fleeting trends to pulling all-nighters. This list isn't a sign of defeat; it's a testament to a life well-lived and the wisdom gained along the way. Consider this a playful guide to the things I've happily retired from, and the new ones I've come to embrace.
My job now is not to solve the mystery, but to simply show others where the pieces are.
I'm too old for the chaos of my own mind, but not for the journey to understand it. I retired from looking for answers and began looking for connections.
I’m too old for the simple game of being smart. I’ve retired from collecting facts and now, with a wisdom earned by age, I look only for the hidden intelligence in things.
I'm too old for these digital malls. I've retired from chasing viral moments to build my own corner of the internet, where quiet thoughts and genuine connection are still currency.
I'm too old for the exceptionalism of the bell curve. I've happily retired from the extremes to find my peace, and the truth, right in the humdrum middle.
I'm too old for the illusion of progress. I've retired from believing we can outrun the consequences, and now I simply watch as civilization collapses under its own weight.
I'm too old for this new lunar race. I've retired from cheering for flags and corporations in space, and now I simply want to protect our cosmic backyard from the same greed that ruins our home.
I'm too old for the tyranny of quid-pro-quo. I’ve retired from a world where every connection has a price and every favor requires a return.
I'm too old for spring's growth. I’ve retired from cultivating new friendships or relationships that haven't yet seen a third decade, preferring the solid, proven ground of peers who remember the world—and the internet—being born right alongside me.
